Riley Stewart, a Stanford-bound senior at Cherry Creek High, secured her third consecutive girls 5A title at the Colorado High School Activities Association state championship meet by covering the 5-kilometer course in 17:20.9 at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Stewart improved from 17:33.8 last season to help Cherry Creek finish second overall behind Arapahoe by a 42-60 margin.
