Daniel Hruska, a junior at Cherry Creek High, secured sixth in the Class 5A boys final at the Colorado High School Activities Association state cross country championship meet at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Hruska covered the 5-kilometer layout in 15:49.7 to improve from 19th place last season.
